Now is the time, this is the moment for you and I to praise dance with all of our might. God wants to be our all and all. He wants us to dance as a living picture, a moving photograph, of who He is. He is not an alternative. His way is the only way. Worship praise dance must be a clearly defined message about Jesus. Even the unsaved should know and feel as they view our dance, that it is different than an ordinary performance or show. Through our dance we can demonstrate to everyone our love and adoration to the Lord, and His love for the world.
20And he arose, and
came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him,
and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight,
and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him;
and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they
began to be merry.
his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he
heard music and dancing.
In Jesus's parable
of the lost son. As the father saw his son returning home he called a
celebration. At that celebration the father commissioned music and
dance. The dance is a biblical response to redemption, love and reconciliation.
Let us dance the
dance of redemption.

Miriam’s dance was a response to God’s miracles. For centuries dance has been a universal medium for people of all nations to express themselves. In Exodus 15:20, Miriam who was Moses’s sister demonstrated that dance is a natural response to God’s miracles. Miriam and the children of Israel experienced God’s miracles through the parting of the Red Sea. Her first response was to lead the women in song and dance. Her dance was a visual demonstration of God’s miraculous power. Jesus Christ is the performing miracles in our lives today, therefore we as his children have a reason to dance.
